Welcome
Parents and Students of Room 17!
My name is Kathleen Camerato and I have the pleasure
of teaching your children this coming school year. I hope you all
have had a relaxing summer. We
have been incredibly fortunate to have this surplus of sunshine and it can make
letting the summer go that much harder.
In one week school will start and I am eager to meet your children and
embark on a new year with them.
As the summer comes to a close I begin to get truly excited
about the year to come. The children that come into Paton on Tuesday, August
30, will not be the same ones that move on to Sherwood next year. Fourth
grade is a year of experience, growth, friendship, risk-taking, and
self-awareness. The children will be challenged, asked to get outside of
their comfort zone, and explore their passions as they learn. I feel very
grateful to be a facilitator of their learning and to be part of the team that
supports them along the way. Please feel free to reach out to me with any
questions or concerns at any point in the year. Your children’s growth
and success is my priority and your insights to how they best learn are very
valuable.
This Thursday, August 25, there is a New-To-Paton Information
Night from 6:30-7:30 PM. Friday, August 26, the children can come into our
classroom (room 17) to explore during the Open House from 5:00-6:30 PM. I
will not be in the classroom, but they can look around, find their desk, and
perhaps meet some classmates. The first week of school is only 3 days
because the teachers have a professional development day on Friday, September 2,
so there will be no school for the kids. Fourth Grade Curriculum Night is
Thursday, September 22. When the
exact time is determined I will share it with you. Please try to come
because I will share important information with you that night.
I look forward to meeting you all in September at Curriculum
Night. Please reach out to me with any questions or information before
then if they come up. Enjoy the
last few glorious days of summer!
